There is a beautiful energy at winter that almost brings us into zero point where we can really focus in on our intentions and goals. The still beauty allows us to get very quiet within ourselves where things get really clear.

This is a simple and beautiful craft you can make during some solo quiet time, or even with kids. All you need are a few decorative items from nature, an open imagination, as well as a place where you can freeze your ice ornament (outside or your freezer!) As your intention sits in the ice, the energy builds where it is finally release to the Universe when the ornament melts, leaving offerings behind to the Earth.

In Pagan traditions the Winter Solstice is also known and celebrated as Yule. Yule marks the darkest night of the year, and the return and birth of the light. In this ritual we will focus on releasing what no longer serves us into the long, dark night, and then make a magical, abundant Pomander to invite light, fertility and abundance back into our homes and hearts as the Sun slowly makes its return.
